Remaining Club Events 2023

Following the success of the Spring Garden Party, our inaugural event at a new venue, Hollowell Steam Rally site near Northampton, we are pleased to announce that the Autumn Garden Party will return to Hollowell on Sunday 3 September 2023.

In addition, we have taken the decision to rearrange our second Club Open Show of the year (normally held in December at Grove in Oxfordshire) to host it on the Saturday before the Autumn Garden Party (Saturday 2 September), also at Hollowell.

As usual we will be offering camping, this time from Wednesday 30 August to Monday 4 September, so why not join us for a long weekend and take in two Club events?

In addition, Bernese classes at City of Birmingham General Championship Show (Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire) will be held on Thursday 31 August. Stoneleigh Park is approx. a 45-minute drive from Hollowell.

Our 2023 Championship Show will return to the Kennel Club building within Stoneleigh Park on Saturday 23rd September.

We successfully hosted an Open Show with a Garden Party in 2021, when events opened up again after the pandemic. Please note that, as with that event, this will be a totally outdoor event. You are welcome to bring along gazebos or shelters for the day of the Open Show, max size 3m x 3m please.

In these days of lower show entries and rising overheads our Club Open Shows generally lose money because of the high cost of venues. We hope that by combining events we can see financially viable Club events.

It is likely that our normal Spring Open Show will move from Grenoside in April to combine with the Spring Garden Party in 2024; date to be confirmed.
