on Sunday 22nd April 2018 starting at 10.30am

Some of the Midland Carting Group will be attending again this year to open the day’s proceedings at 10:30 (and again after lunch) with their wonderfully trained Bernese pulling decorated dog carts. Experienced and novice dogs show how it is done and their owners will be happy to chat to any potential carters throughout the day.

RING AND BUY STALL – please contribute by bringing and buying dog related items.

FANTASTIC PRIZES IN A SPECIAL “PAPER BAG RAFFLE” – where you can choose your own possible prize (prizes of special Bernese interest gratefully received)

GOODY BAGS – for all the rehomed dogs. (As in previous years, 100% sponsored by our generous supporters. No money is taken from rescue funds.)

FUN CLASSES

Rosettes for 1st – 6th kindly donated by Toni Rose

  • Most handsome dog;
  • Prettiest bitch;
  • Cutest puppy under 6 months;
  • Best Bernese smile
  • Most appealing eyes;
  • Best “high five” or paw shake
  • The dog that the judge would like to take home.

GAMES

All with dog treat prizes and which may include all or some of the following –

  • Sack race ( adult and child under 12 separately);
  • Markie and spoon;
  • Biscuit catching;
  • Recall over a sausage race;
  • Retrieve a biscuit race;
  • Eleven legged race;
  • Fastest recall (run in pairs only);
    Cheese & cracker race;
    Leave the cheese.

A mass on lead Dog Walk around the field is scheduled for the lunch break (weather permitting.)

PARADES

will start at 1.30 pm

  • Golden Oldies – for Bernese aged 9 and over
  • Bernese rehomed through BMDC of GB.

Each rehomed dog will receive a special goody bag. Extra special present for the oldest rescued dog in the parade

At this reunion we hope to have the largest turnout of Bernese who have been adopted through the BMDC of GB Rescue. Every penny made will be spent on the dogs coming through Rescue so please give your generous support.

Leave M4 at J14, follow A338 towards Hungerford. At junction with A4 turn right and follow A4 through Hungerford High St. Go over bridge then at mini roundabout turn right, follow this road past houses and out into farmland on both sides of road until you see farm buildings on left. The site will be sign posted from here.
