01 Aug Lindsey Worrow
The club was incredibly sad to hear of the sudden passing of Lindsey Worrow whilst visiting a wedding overseas.
Lindsey was Chair of the Southern BMDC having been a founder member of the club in the eighties and one of the driving forces as the club established itself subsequently. Together with husband Phil, who sadly passed away 14 years ago, Lindsey was at the centre of all the Southern club’s activities for about 20 years or so taking on several official roles but in latter years was much quieter, being mostly visible at Southern club shows behind their club shop counter.
Never one for the limelight Lindsey was happy to support Phil but as well as making a formidable team during the formative years of the Southern club, they also undertook a little breeding and enjoyed showing under the Downland affix. She was also a Championship Show judge who awarded CCs 8 times between 1998 and 2018. Lindsey enjoyed trips to Switzerland to see Bernese events several times and was a true enthusiast for the breed.
The breed, and the Southern club particularly, has lost a real supporter who will be sadly missed and our thoughts are with her friends and family.
