June 2020 – The Kennel Club’s geneticist, Dr Tom Lewis has reproduced a population analysis of the entire UK Bernese population as registered at the KC from 1980 to 2019. This c overs many areas but chiefly looks at the genetic make up of the breed over that period and the amount of inbreeding and genetic diversity we show.
