Overview of our club outlining the various sections and activities, many of which have their own sections within this web site. Membership of our friendly, approachable club is open not just to owners but anyone interested in Bernese Mountain Dogs, and supports all activities and ownership levels. Members receive discounts on a variety of club activities, messages about events and activities as well as hard copies of our magazines and handbook through the post.

The twice yearly Show/Garden Party based week-ends are open to all, even before you have a Bernese, and a great place to start your club or BMD experience or education. Apply Here

Advice and information for those considering a Bernese Mountain Dog. Is a Bernese right for you?  What do you need to think about? How can you find out more? Where can you meet some Bernese? Ideally at  one of our events especially a Garden Party, where you can meet Bernese and their families who will be happy to share their experiences and advice.

Bernese do not develop their correct character purely due to breed genes. Like ALL dogs, good experiences, training and behaviour guidance are ESSENTIAL. You need to understand your full responsibility and know how to apply it, BEFORE your puppy arrives.

Our club’s Rescue and Rehoming mainly help to re-home Bernese in need. If you have any problems with a Bernese and Rescue might be able to help, please get in touch in complete confidence. Rescue’s only objective is to help the Bernese, not judge the situation, anyone’s life can unavoidably change.

You may not be able to rehome a Bernese but there are other ways people can assist Rescue, e.g. temporary foster homes, assessing dogs or homes in their area, help to transport dogs. Usually this starts with a friendly chat so please get in touch, email, phone or come and meet us at one of our club events.
